Dear Wine Cellar Club Members,

We are excited to announce that Wine Cellar Club has been acquired by Spectrum Wine, one of the nation’s largest professional wine-storage operators and a global marketplace for buying, selling, and storing fine and rare wines and spirits.

As part of this transition, Steven and Felicia Greenberg will retire after more than three decades of dedicated service to WCC and its customers. While the name and ownership will change, WCC’s day-to-day team will remain in place and continue serving you under the Spectrum Wine brand. Ken Cochran will lead the team as Facilities Manager of the Irvine Wine Storage Facilities, Brianna Smock will continue as Customer Service Manager, and Dan Rathjen will continue overseeing facility and receiving operations.

You can expect the same personalized service, careful handling, and secure, professionally maintained, climate-controlled storage that WCC has provided for more than three decades. Simply put, it will be the same great service from the same dedicated team, under a new name.

We are deeply grateful to Steven and Felicia for the exceptional business and community they built, as well as the care and personal attention they have provided to generations of Southern California wine collectors.

Spectrum Wine shares WCC’s commitment to the responsible care of customers’ collections. WCC’s two Irvine facilities will operate under the Spectrum Wine brand and become part of Spectrum Wine’s professional storage network, which now encompasses more than 73,000 square feet across Santa Ana, Newport Beach, Irvine, and Hong Kong.

As a Spectrum Wine customer, you will also have access to an expanded range of services and experiences, including:

  • Fine-wine and spirits retail

  • Live and online auctions

  • Consignment and private-sale services

  • Collection management

  • Wine transportation and logistics

  • Fine and rare wine tastings and dinner events

  • Wine-Backed Financing

There is no immediate action you need to take. Ken, Brianna, Dan, and the rest of the Irvine team will continue to be available to assist you and answer any questions throughout the transition.

You will soon receive a separate email inviting you to a new online storage portal. The portal will allow you to view your locker information and lease details, manage your account, view your received packages and set up electronic payments. That email will include instructions for activating and accessing your account.
