STEVEN GREENBERG
President

Steven opened the Wine Cellar Club in May 1992 to meet the need for upscale wine storage in Orange County.

In those days wine storage was a bare bones - no frills - basic service. All that changed with the opening of the Wine Cellar Club 19 years ago. Innovative and creative - the Wine Cellar Club broke all the old rules.

The business model was simple in concept - build the facility where Steven would want to store his own wine. As the Wine Cellar Club grew and matured over 18 years into the largest wine storage facility in SoCal, the business model has never changed.

Steven is passionate about wine - particularly French wine. His preference for Old World wines dates back to the early 70's when there wasn't as much high end New World wine to choose from and - worth noting - Bordeaux from a great chateau cost less than $10 a bottle!

He read everything he could - in those days Harry Waugh was the man. Waugh's protégé Michael Broadbent was just being noticed. Steven attended many wine tastings with Rod Rodewig of Gourmet Wine in Marina Del Rey (now gone). Les Amis du Vin (now gone), Dennis Overstreet at the Wine Merchant in Beverly Hills, and so many other tasting groups. In those days, long before Robert Parker emerged as the most famous wine authority, one had to work much harder to learn about wine - we had to drink it.

Steven began collecting wine in 1968 but it was the mid 70's, when prices for Bordeaux tanked, that he built his cellar with the most fantastic chateau anyone could imagine. With his closest friend Randy they were the first to import Salon le Mesnil, a very high end Champagne, into California. Steven has often said "I had no idea what we'd do with this stuff". When they bought a pallet of '75 Petrus, some '75 Latour, and a bunch of '75 La Mission Haut Brion, he knew he was hooked - forever.

An accountant by training, a wine lover by desire - he managed to merge his passion for wine, classical music, art, and collecting, into the Wine Cellar Club. This isn't just a job or an investment - it's a lifestyle!

His favorite vacation destinations are the vineyards of France and California where he loves to walk through the vineyards surrounded by vines and hang out in the local bistros. If he finds the time, his favorite outdoor sport is skiing. His one - and only - spectator sport is hockey. Go Ducks!!

Steven's vision of the Wine Cellar Club - a deluxe private club - is a natural extension of his love of wine, classical music, and art. He accomplished his goal of building the Wine Cellar Club into the premier wine storage facility in Southern California - the leader in it's field, the largest, and only premier wine storage facility in Orange County.

Often copied - the Wine Cellar Club remains the innovative leader.

Felicia Cochran
FELICIA COCHRAN
Customer Service Director

Felicia joined the Wine Cellar Club in 1998 with the mission of providing superb customer service at a time when most wine storage facilities had NO customer service personnel on site.

The Wine Cellar Club has grown dramatically during the last 19 years and, with each passing year, the Wine Cellar Club has upped the ante on customer service. Felicia's responsibilities have grown to encompass our ever changing menu of services and private club amenities.

Felicia's friendly smile, enthusiasm, extremely high energy and earnest desire to assist Wine Cellar Club members is first class. If you are a member of the Wine Cellar Club you know how helpful she is. If you are not a member you will be one - once you meet her.

Congratulations to Felicia on her successful migration from vodka to fine (translated - very expensive) wine! Now if I can only get her to stop listening to jazz stations.

SASHA
Customer Service / Facilities
Sasha joined the Wine Cellar Club in 2006 after emigrating from Belarus. Since joining the Wine Cellar Club his English language skills have improved tremendously. We're teaching him to be a "cool SoCal guy" and he's teaching us to appreciate that old fashioned work ethics still exist. Sasha is an important member of our management team providing the customer services our members expect. He is responsible for our facility maintenence and our wine shipment receiving department.
